The ultimate goal of Women's Ministries at First Christian Church is to lead ladies to Christ and to encourage those who are already Christians to draw closer to Him in their daily walk no matter what their circumstances or life situations.

It is our hope that you might find a home here and a place to put your talents to work for the Lord.

The purpose of our church is to evangelize the lost, build up the body, meet the needs of those outside the body and to be the conscience of society.



Ministries

MOPS
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to encourage mothers with children ages 0-kindergarten, through relationships and resources. These women come from different backgrounds and a shared desire to be the best mothers they can be!

During MOPS meetings, children (ages 0-kindergarten) are cared for in a program called MOPPETS, where they experience Christ's love in a pre-school-like setting.

MOPS meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 9:00 -11:00 A.M., September - May at the church

Play dates are scheduled for the summer months.

Widows Luncheons
On the last Tuesday of each month from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., we minister to the widowed ladies of our community and congregation through lunch, encouragement, devotions and a short program. All widows are welcome!

Soul Mates
Soul Mates is a ministry to enhance marriages and Christian dating. Twice a year we sponsor an evening with dinner, fun, and fellowship. Our next Soul Mates will be held in October.

His Hands
His Hands is a service ministry which ministers to others in our church body and community. We meet the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. in the church library. They make baby blankets for newborns, pillows for those in the hospital, teddy bears for children in the hospital, a Christmas cookie bake for shut-ins, and other acts of encouragement.

Bible Studies
Tuesday - 6:30 P.M. in the church library
Wednesday - 1:30 P.M. in the church library

Sunday School
New Sunday School Class for Women on Sundays at 9:30 A.M. in room 216 Topic - "A Woman After God's Own Heart" by Elizabeth George

Single Moms Ministry
Groupt will meet twice a month at 6:30 P.M. at the church. Childcare is provided. For more information call Kitty Perkinson at 812-752-9863.
