The ultimate goal of Women's Ministries at First Christian Church is to lead ladies to Christ and to encourage those who are already Christians to draw closer to Him in their daily walk no matter what their circumstances or life situations.
It is our hope that you might find a home here and a place to put your talents to work for the Lord.
The purpose of our church is to evangelize the lost, build up the body, meet the needs of those outside the body and to be the conscience of society.
Ministries
Widows Luncheon
On the last Tuesday of each month from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the church, we minister to the widowed ladies of our community and congregation through lunch, encouragement, devotions and a short program. All widows are welcome!
Soul Mates
Soul Mates is a ministry to enhance marriages and Christian dating. Twice a year we sponsor an evening with dinner, fun, and fellowship.
His Hands
His Hands is a service ministry which ministers to others in our church body and community. We meet the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. in the church library. They make baby blankets for newborns, pillows for those in the hospital, teddy bears for children in the hospital, a Christmas cookie bake for shut-ins, and other acts of encouragement.
Bible Studies
Tuesday - 6:30 P.M. in the church library
Wednesday - 1:30 P.M. in the church library
A new study will be taking place on Wednesday nights starting September 14 at 7:00 P.M. and going for 12 weeks. The study is called "The Patriarchs" by Beth Moore. It is a study based on Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Sunday School
"Women After God's Own Heart" is a class for Women on Sundays at 9:30 A.M. in room 216 which covers several Beth Moore study guides.
There is also a study for some of the more mature ladies that takes place during the same time in the library.
Card Making Ministry
This group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM. The focus is on creating greeting cards.
Christmas Tea and Ornament Exchange
This year's ornament exchange will take place at The Rock on Sunday, November 13. Contact Joni for further details.
Summer Amish Trip
Each year a trip is scheduled during June to visit Amish country. The trip lasts 4 days and all ladies are welcome to join!
Girl's Night Out
Each year during the month of April or May we take a night for fellowship, a meal and worship for all ladies.
Baby Ministry
A ministry focus on praying for and encouraging families expecting babies.
